Good morning! I’m the leader of Pokémon GO Club Tokyo.
We have news that delighted to announce to you today.
We became a Community Ambassador! It’s an honor.
【What is a “Community Ambassador?”】
In brief, we are a "messenger who brings the attractions of Pokémon GO to trainers with Pokémon GO events.
Specifically, groups like us who run local community activities continuously have the right to apply for the Community Ambassador Program*.
Two Community Ambassadors are active in Fukuoka and Osaka in Japan now.
We have become a Community Ambassador in Tokyo.

We start activities as a Community Ambassador on September 23rd.
【What we can do as a Community Ambassador?】
Receive special perks,
(1) Giveaway item codes to trainers and hold local in-person events.
(2) Submit our feedback to Niantic representatives.
(3) Early access to new features.
(4) Various other opportunities to support the growth of Community Ambassadors’ communities.
In other words, Niantic's purpose is to "create leaders who take the lead in the Pokémon GO in-person local community and revitalize the app as a whole.
Starting our activities from my hometown, I have been growing my group of friends in the Tokyo area for the past 5 years.
And our club’s purpose;
・Connect people around the world with Pokémon GO.
・Create a group where people of all ages, genders, and nationalities can participate in the community.
・Share information and enjoy the appeal of Pokémon GO together.
Our activity policy and Niantic's ideals have the same motive.
That is why we were approached!
We are extremely honored to be a part of such a social activity.
We practice the following activities based on the special perks from Niantic!
① We hold events with item codes as prizes.
For example, we present item codes to trainers who catch the largest amount of shiny Pokémon on Community Day or the hugest Pokémon on Research Day. In addition, we will also give an item code to newcomers to the community as a welcome gift.
② We gather feedback from our community and send it to Niantic.
Any trainers have a variety of feedback about Pokémon GO. For example, “want to add new features”, “improve current features”, “the problem about the communication environment”, etc. We are going to ask your opinions and submit them to Niantic.
③ When new features are released, we share them with our community and submit feedback to Niantic. as soon as possible.
We are excited about what features will be implemented in the future. When the opportunity comes, we try the new features share them within our community, and send feedback on how they are used and contribute to the development of the application.
④ I don’t know what it means “various other opportunities” but I’m interested in that... I’ll plan fun and exciting events for people who participate in the community!
